Loss of a husband

Hello,I am Alex and lost my husband Jim in March from a fatal heart attack.It was very rough at first when I seen him dead in the living room  on the floor.He was a loving dad and husband.Was the bio dad of my 3 sons(16,14 and 12) and they were part of his life.They are doing better grieving the loss of their dad.My mom has been there for me through this,she has been through this and been a great help.Lost my dad when I was 15 years old,20 years ago in a hunting accident.My dad and I were close.

Hi Alex sorry for your loses. Jim sounds like a wonder father and husband you are very blessed to have had him in your life. God bless your mom for her support. I too know how its like to lose a wonderful man and I also lost my father . The holidays seem to make matters worse but its always nice to make a special memorial Christmas for my loved one.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.  I am so sorry for your loss and send a BIG hug to you and your sons.  I lost my husband as well, which eventually inspired me to start this site.  Communication is key to grief recovery, so you're doing a great thing.  I hope the blog posts on the Home page are helpful as well as the Member blogs, chat room etc.

Jim  was a good dad,husband and friend in life.The loss of my dad hit me hard.Have not started dating yet and this will happen next year.Jim loved my Irish accent,My mom including my dad came from Ireland in 1966 with family.
