Help for today & Hope for tomorrow

Lost and hurting

On April 29, 2015, my ex husband and father of my son, passed away from a heart attack. We had his funeral today and I am just feeling like I can't accept it. I'm lost. We still had a great relationship because of our son which I am glad. I don't know why I'm feeling like I can't let go of that makes any sense.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your ex-husband and father of your son; which makes the loss a bit more complicated. What you are feeling is perfectly normal. Thank you for sharing your story. Communication is key to grief recovery so you have made a BIG first step in reaching out to others who know how you feel.

I apologize for the delay in responding as I'm recovering from the loss of my mother as well. Please reach out to other members through the Network, Member Blogs and Forum Chats.
