I lost my husband of 26 years - coming home from a trip to find him dead. We did not know he was sick. That was 3 day after I was diagnosed with cancer and 4 months before my best friend would die and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law began suing me, all of which also caused me to lose my career and identity - managing partner of a law firm for 20 years.

Hello Kimberly and welcome.  I am sorry you have suffered a loss.  My husband and I lost our daughter on July 17, 2018 to an aggressive breast cancer.  She lived for five years after her diagnosis.  She left two daughters now ages 9 and 11 who also suffered greatly with the loss of their mother.  We will always grief losing her for the rest of our days.  But, it does help to talk with others who know the pain you are feeling.  I will be here to listen whenever you feel you would like to talk.  I will look for you on this site again and we will talk if you feel like it.  Peace to you. Jo
