Please share the reason(s) why you joined this site?: My husband who was military & had PTSD was suffering since 2009. We had exhausted all resources, he drank, popped pills was violent. I never gave up hope but in Aug 2014 after overdosing 5 times I had to have him committed to psych for PTSD, depression, addiction & alcohol abuse. When he got out I believed he was in a halfway house. Our agreement because he had been violent, was I didn't know where he was staying and I re keyed the locks. He said he was sober, & we decided to let him move back in march 1st, we were going to do counseling and have a family. I got a text from his family at 1:25 in the morning saying their uncle was coming out to escort his remains home.????????
They hadn't called me, he overdosed at him and his girlfriends home. The girl he had been living with since September. I was paying their rent.his family blamed me, left me out of the funeral and obituary. I never got to say goodbye. The family invited his girlfriend to play widow at the funeral. His family is suing me for 1/2 my assets.his girlfriend is threatening me. He died feb 16th. I am so lost! I just turned 36, I was married and dating him since I was 25. My whole life just crumbled. My past was a lie & my future is gone. His military friends are alienating me for being public about his PTSD. I have no words how can I even start to cope with this?
