Saher, I wish I knew what words I could say to make you feel better, but unfortunately, there are none. It is so hard to try and piece together a shattered heart. The only advice I might give you is to take a day at a time. I know it is a struggle, I feel it every minute of every day, but take hope that your Mom would want you to be strong and go on as best that you can. The love that you have for your Mom will always be with you and the cherished memories you have will never be taken away. She will forever be with you. She gave you the greatest gift that she could, and that is life. She would want you to be happy and share with others the wonderful things she has taught you. As long as you have your memories, she continues to live on.

I appreciate your response. My husband passed away unexpectedly in February. He was the love of my life and I miss him terribly. He was taken from me too soon. I am devastated. I am not coping very well. We did everything together, so what should be a simple trip to the grocery store is a huge challenge. I have isolated myself and I am forcing myself to engage in social interactions to try to heal. Saher, it is a difficult road, but I know in my heart that he would want me to be strong and not suffer like this. I hope you find the inner strength that your Mom instilled in you to find strength and healing.

It is nearly impossible to manage without him, but I have to, I have no other choice, so I go on. I hope you will find comfort with friends and family and I will do all I can to give you help and strength and be a friend.
