HOW GOD BLESSES BROKEN HEARTS

The above title may be confusing to you at this time.  After all, you’re probably thinking, ‘My heart is broken in a million pieces over the loss of my loved one.  How can God bless that?’

I remember feeling that way for a while, myself.  But, I’ve been blessed to be a member of Saddleback Church for many years before my husband passed away in 2004.  Pastor Rick Warren eloquently paraphrases from the bible, that God’s ways are not the ways of the world.  I don’t think I really understood that until I went through the grief process.  In this sermon video he shares what he and his wife Kay went through last year when they lost their son Matthew to suicide.  He has said many times over the years that God doesn’t waste a hurt.  They are using their tragedy to provide hope and inspiration to others.  And it is what has inspired me to start this website as well.
