Help for today & Hope for tomorrow

I lost my dad when I was only 9 to lung cancer. I miss him everyday and the pain is still horrible. As graduation gets closer for me for high school the more and more I wish my dad was here. I miss him so much and I'm just so depressed.

Hi Tatiana,

I am so sorry for your loss.  Grief sucks, doesn't it?  There is never a good time; especially around an important event like your high school graduation.  Congratulations!  Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings.  I do know from personal experience that communication is key. In addition to the resources on this site, blog posts on the home page, book suggestions etc.  Grief groups really helped me too.  Check out www.GriefShare.org

Thank you for participating on this site, I hope you find some help and comfort.

Sincerely,

Judy Davidson

Special occasions always bring back memories of the ones we love. Don't doubt that he wont be there. Carry him in your heart that day and you will feel comfort. You made him proud find comfort in that :)

Hi Tatiana,

I am sad for the loss of your dad.  Thank you for sharing this with this community.  I just joined, and I am inspired already by the open and honest sharing and compassion.  My dad died of lung cancer when I was 12.  I have many wonderful memories that pop up all of the time.  What is your favorite memory of your dad?
