Thanks. Mom died 6 months ago - completely unexpectedly. I just can't get past the finality of it. My Mom was my best friend. And since her death everything's just terrible - my job, my marriage (which was already falling apart), no money. Things were bad for me before she died but I could handle it, and sort of work on my plan to make things better because she was there- I'd report my progress, she'd encourage me, help me figure stuff out. It's like we were in it together. I could talk to her about everything. I knew she cared. There is no one else in my life even remotely that close to me. I have a young daughter but there are lots of things I obviously can't talk to her about. Now I have no hope, no joy. And I can't accept the loss, I just can't bear it.

HI Maryellen,

Nice chatting with you earlier.  As you know, Ted Scherff is hosting a scheduled chat session Tuesday, Dec. 30th at 9PM EST. He'd like to share and discuss some books that have helped him since his wife passed away 2 months ago.  As you know it helps your grief recovery when you are able to help others.  It was kindof Ted to suggest this topic and brave for him to agree to host the chat session.  I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to make it, but  hope you can!

Happy New Year!

Judy

Thank you - I thought I was prepared after the last couple of years.  She'd been going through chemo and we knew it was just to give us more time, but when she passed, it left a huge hole in our family - can't believe how heavy my heart is.  Not a day goes by that I don't cry because I miss her and am sad for my Dad.
