I am very sorry for your loss. I can very well relate to what you are going through as I lost my husband of 16 years to suicide. It was a sudden death and I was in shock for the first two months. I had not realized that his state of mind was like this until he did it.
I found him and that picture never leaves my conscious mind. It is very hard to understand why people take such a drastic step, only, later on, I found out that he had got delusional and felt his life was worthless despite being a successful professional and having a beautiful life with his wife and kids.
I think mental illness is a big taboo, especially for men to admit. If my husband had seek medical health before he went psychotic, he would have been alive.
