Help for today & Hope for tomorrow

Going back to work after my 18 yo son was killed by a drunk driver

I lost my 18 year old son Thanksgiving evening this year when he was hit by a drunk driver while he was out on a walk.  I know I am in the denial stage of grieving, but I would like to start working very part time again and my family is telling me that there's no way I can handle it right now.  I have spoken to my boss who is a mental health therapist like I am, and she assessed how I am and agreed I could work limited hours.  I know that things are fluid and in a couple of weeks I may not be able to cope with working at all, and I have a contingency plan for that.  I don't have to continue working just because I start seeing clients again.  I would like to know from people who are further down the road than I am if and when they were able to go back to work and if it was beneficial or detrimental.

Thank you

Rachelle
