Please share the reason(s) why you joined this site?: We are conducting a national search for families with first hand experience of gun violence for a short documentary that will look beyond the polarizing issues that tend to divide society, and instead take a first hand personal approach to this intense subject matter. We are looking for families who have had children injured or lost children in this epidemic. As we will be filming this November across the country, we urgently need your assistance finding families to participate in this documentary, which will have a big impact on shaping public opinion. The creative team behind it has multiple Academy-Award nominations and it is for Sandy Hook Promise, a non-profit with high visibility.
