Help for today & Hope for tomorrow

On January 30 my dad passed away.... it was a shock. When I got the call I was with my mom. I just started to scream. I couldnt stop. See, we had already been through so much.....

My stepdad has been very ill since the beginning of 2012. I moved in with my mom and him this past summer to help out in taking care of him. We had been in and out of the hospital with him all year. At the time I got the call about my dad, my stepdad was in the ICU on a ventilator. They had told us even if he ever came home it would be under the care of hospice.

A week prior to this, both my dad and stepdad were in the hospital at the same time. The same floor of the same hospital. I felt like i was in some sick twisted hospital drama. I sat with my dad for 6 days, while my mom was with my stepdad. It was hard, but we made it through it and they both came home. Then January 29 my stepdad was put into ICU on a ventilator, my Dad passed away january 30. I was driving back and forth an hour to handle funeral arrangements at the same time living at the hospital. How do you chose which parent to be there for.... you dont, yoube there for both.

The following week my stepdad has a stroke and they tell us his quality of life is gone. There is no hope. So we bring him home. On february 12 he passes away. Exactly 2 weeks after my dad.
That is the most I have said about it.... and about all I can say for now and still be sain. Im not re-reading it for errors... i cant. So please excuse any errors.

I MUST add they both got saved while in the hosital, the same weekend.God gave me the chance to witness to my daddy.
3 weeks tomorrow

Looks like they were both going through so much. Their bodies needed the rest and we must find some kind of comfort that they are resting from the pain. Now its time to heal your pain and take care of yourself and your mom.
