Help for today & Hope for tomorrow

Last December 1, I lost my soulmate unexpectedly. We were together for more than 5 years. We planned to get married and have a baby by next year. Actually, he was supposed to go home to me last Christmas. I am still in shock until now that I could not accept that he is gone. Why now?

Hi Shen,
I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your feelings; it's the first step toward grief recovery. The shock and unacceptance is normal in the beginning. My husband died after 5 years of marriage and at first, it just felt like he was away on an extended trip. Denial is a coping mechanism...
I was out of town and apologize for not approving your post earlier. There are many ways to find comfort here. Reaching out to other members directly or in the Chat Room - posting and reading Member blogs and discussions in the Forum and on the Home Page etc. '
I pray this site provides you Help for Today & Hope for Tomorrow.

sorry to hear about your loss. i also lost a wonderful man its been a year for me in December. The road ahead will be bumpy but it does get better just hold tight.

The holidays probably made you more aware of his passing away. It hit me really hard on New Years Eve... I knew I would enter 2015 without my love, for the first time in 8 years. :'(

Praying for all of you.
